Chief Executive Officer
Brad is Karakan’s Chief Executive Officer. His role has overall responsibility for the Karakan’s operations, strategy, governance and performance. Brad has more than 15 years’ experience in senior operational and executive roles in the not for profit sector – much of this in sectors undergoing significant transformation. Within Brad’s leadership roles he has made substantial contributions to improving the outcomes of customers via evidence based research and the delivery of improved practices through collaboration with peak bodies. The value of collective wisdom and insights from people with a lived experience are integral to Brad’s approach, design and delivery of human services.
Michelle is the Operational Manager at Karakan and is responsible for ensuring we have effective and efficient systems and processes in place to assist our staff in delivering the best support to our customers. She has been part of the Karakan team for over 10 years where she has witnessed Karakan grow to an organisation that is well respected in providing individualised support to people in our community.
Janelle is one of our Team Facilitator’s, and is responsible for supporting the customers and staff, so that each customer’s team is meeting their needs. Janelle has over 15 years’ experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including family and domestic violence. Her passion and insights, allow her to look for solutions so that she is able to support people to live their best lives within their communities.
Jade is one of our Team Facilitator’s, she started with Karakan in 2017 as a Support Worker, her vibrancy and willingness to go above and beyond allowed her to progress to her current role, in which she supports customers and staff. Jade is passionate about sharing her knowledge with the support teams and facilitating learning opportunities. She has a background in Psychology and is also currently studying her Masters of Business (Philanthropy and NonProfit Studies).
Support Coordinator Lead
Elesha is Support Coordinator Lead she has extensive experience working with people to help them have genuine choices ranging from supporting youth and young adults to access education and employment to classic support worker roles. Elesha is energetic and passionate about exploring options that matter to people and being able to offer the choice they want so they can access the best supports for them.
Amber is a Support Coordinator, she has worked in customer service roles for the last seven years, more recently she has assisted the support coordination team to find solutions to complex service and support problems. Amber has an honest and open style and coupled with her passion and drive means that she is always focused on getting the best for customers. In her spare time Amber is studying for a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours degree.
